The Brilliant Benefits of Arts and Crafts

15 February 2019

In my role as an Art Educator and Facilitator I’ve had the pleasure of delivering some very lovely family friendly craft workshops over the years, here’s a few photos of my favourite sessions delivered at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and The Lowry Arts Centre in Salford. These sessions give families a chance to spend quality time together, to make memories and take part in creative activities in a relaxed, fun and supportive environment. A great bonding experience and a break from looking at screens.

Here’s just some of the brilliant benefits of taking part in arts and crafts activities, particularly for young children.

  • Develop fine motor skills
  • Improve hand eye co-ordination
  • Boost self esteem
  • Encourage self expression
  • Promote innovation and creativity
  • Build vocabulary and develop imagination.
  • Many emotional benefits
