Caroline did all her growing up in the 80’s and 90’s in South Manchester, listening to tapes, playing with Spirograph and wearing roller skates whilst supporting MCFC. (Not all at the same time unfortunately) She nipped over to Liverpool for a few years and studied Theatre Design where she developed skills in technical drawing (by hand!) and large-scale scenic painting. Now she can be found back at home in Manchester creating her detailed hand drawn illustrations using ink and watercolours or occasionally painting large murals on walls using acrylics and spray paint.
Inspired by Vintage natural history illustrations and Art Deco artists such as Erte mixed up with a love for Geometry and all things symmetrical. Being a nature and animal lover she especially likes drawing things with wings and more recently things with fins!
Caroline also has over 8 years community arts experience and provides a whole host of workshops and projects for young people and community groups, please contact her for more details.
